Refreshing Sea Buckthorn granita and barrel aged gin

Granita is something sorbet like but actually not at all. Italian dessert varies in flavour, texture and how it's enjoyed. Try granita as a light and fresh dessert or have it as a middle treat after the main course before the cake and goodies come out.

2 dl (unsweetened) sea buckthorn juice

1 dl apple juice

1 dl water

1 dl sugar

3 cl barrel aged rye gin

Step 1

Boil all the ingredients in a saucepan. Pour into a flat container. Put the container in the frost. Scrape the mixture from time to time until the mixture has completely frozen.

Step 2

Serve as a refreshing dessert or try as an mouth-watering intermediate dish when eating according to a long formula. Tip: it is a good idea to put the serving dishes in the freezer for a while, as even frozen granita will thaw quickly.
