Gin marinated onions

It's simple yet always a tasty option. And easy to take with you, no matter the destination. With a little less filling, you have yourself a snack. Add a little more and you got yourself a meal.

The best thing about this is that you can pick and choose a different flavor every time. We're talking about a sandwich, our all-time favorite camping snack. Here's an easy recipe for gin marinated onions. You can add these to any sandwich or use them as a side dish.

Gin marinated onions

2-3 red onions

1 dl sugar

0,5 dl vinegar

1 dl water

Pinch of salt

2 cl rye gin

Step 1

Put onions into cold water. Measure water, sugar, and vinegar into a pot and bring to boil. Peel and cut onions. You can get creative. Add cut onions into the boiling water for 30 seconds. Add rye gin, mix and let it cool.

Step 2

Store in the freezer.
